Below are some written articles from Cheeregoers who went to the exciting concert.
Andrea – English 929 A Piece of Summer @ Singapore – After thoughts 29 September 2007, Saturday, Max Pavillion @ Singapore Expo. What a night! It was a night to remember. It was a night that cannot be forgotten. It was a night of pure music, great music arrangement and lots of dancing… Maybe I’m too used to going to another artiste’s concert that provides lyrics on the big screen, I did not go prepared. I know the songs that were sang that night, but I could not sing it word by word. Yes, my memory is not good, I could not remember the lyrics to all the songs. But I promise, the next Cheer Chen concert, I’d go prepared! Never had I went to a concert where we stood up, and on the chairs most of the time. Maybe the organisers should consider a ‘hip hop zone’, where the audience go to a concert, without a seat, and just go and enjoy. (I’m as surprised the ushers did not stop or asked us to come down from the chairs!) The concert was different from other artistes; from the beginning, only Cheer is on the stage with her guitar. After the 2nd song, the drum was wheeled on the stage before the start of the third song. After that comes the other band members like the accordionist, the guitarist, the keyboardist, percussionist and the bassist. That is something interesting to watch. I especially love the new music arrangement of “全世界与我为敌” (Whole world is my enemy). It kept on playing on my mind. The drum & guitar only arrangement is so great! Pure, simple but a great impact. Another one that left a deep impression is the changing of mood to very jazzy, french atmosphere. It really feels like Cheer and the band is bringing you to France! After watching a few shows that was shot location in France (like Ratatouille & Rush Hour 3), I had the urge to close my eyes and enjoy being ‘brought’ there. So romantic, so being seated in the streets of Paris (must read as PAIR-REE), sipping a cup of coffee, watching the passer-by and posh cars. But the most interesting and fun part during the concert is after Cheer had sang ‘吉他手’ and after she had gone up the stage. The crowd rushed to the front! I was initially standing at the front, and when the crowd rushed towards me, I couldn’t go back to my seat! I was stuck between all the young people around me! But it was very fun, because then Cheer sang ‘让我想一想’, and everyone (including all the band members on stage) started to jump during the chorus. It was so neat! But I had to return to the team when she came back to the stage wearing the helmet. I had to squeeze my way through. We had prepared our very own helmet too! The most unforgetable, memorable moment must be the encores. Never had I encountered a concert where there were 5 encores! FIVE!! Really so nice of her and her band to be touched by all our shoutings…. heee…. Of course, there are good songs that wasn’t performed that night, like “太多”, “失明前我想記得的四十七件事”, “花的姿态”, “会不会” and many many others. That’s it for now… hope she comes back for any events in the near future! We will miss you a lot, Cheer!
Raymond – Chinese 陳綺貞 – A PIECE OF SUMMER 演唱會 Chapter: momentous occurrences 沒有華麗、亮眼的服裝。。
First Encore : 2nd Encore : 3rd Encore 4th Encore A piece of summer , a piece of you

I should have been studying at home for my exams this week. But Cheer’s concert was worth it lah.
There is a newspaper article of the concert review in Lifestyle! (Straits Times) today. Check it out! It’s a good review anyway.
